GMISS 08 Working Groups
As outlined in the
GMISS 08 Summary Report, the
GMISS Working Groups of industry and government volunteers are holding monthly conference calls to continue the crucial work begun at the symposium. The Working Groups enable participants to help define the industry-government information-sharing relationship. Each group is administered by a chair-person from the Office of Global Maritime Situational Awareness, your host
GMISS. Thanks to efforts since the symposium, we have a very receptive audience within each of the applicable government agencies. They are prepared to provide subject matter experts where needed to supplement the working group membership. NMCO is fully dedicated to conducting the inter-agency coordination needed to move these issues forward. The
GMISS Working Group administrators will also provide a working group status report at the 2009
GMISS.
